One area to start building your joint venture connections and find like-minded people is to use Twitter. It's not as simple as going to http://twitter.com, creating an account, start following people, and tweet about your products or services. You have to build relationships with people by responding to their tweets. I try to respond to at least three tweets a day, letting them know I care about what they had to say or offer some advice.

Do your best to avoid being the "sell, sell, sell" person, (i.e., For great joint venture opportunities, check out http://jvpromote.com), and not giving them a reason to read your tweets. If your tweets become annoying or don't show any value, you will quickly notice that your followers will stop following you.

To get more followers, find people that interest you and check out who they follow to see if they have something in common with you and follow them. My goal is follow at least 10 new people every day. Most of them do follow me back.

P.S. If you would like to follow me on Twitter, I would be happy to follow you back. Go to: http://twitter.com/reginasmola
